PROJECT 2: Images of Draft Model on Sketchup

Above: Plan - The roof has curved openings to let light in so that the woman can read. Their curved structure also mimics the curved wall as well as the pool (to balance the linear structures and elements in the model -such as the horizontal windows etc).

Below: Plan - It shows the interior of the room(s). Below that is a plan demonstrating how light interacts with the structure at 9.00 o'clock in the morning.

Above: This 3D view shows the functions of the room(s) - Program. Those functions are the main activities of the client. Although I have decided for her to be a housewife, I thought it would be more interesting if I focused on the times she would not be working - perhaps relaxing by reading or swimming?

Above: This image shows the end of the room that is leading to the rest of the house (living room, kitchen, etc). This is why that end is left open. Although a bit hard to see, intricate walls have been added to show the distinctive spaces - the division between her 'quiet space' and the rest of the house.

Below: image showing the pool. The pool starts inside and continues outside. This is meant to represent her intimate and open nature. She likes the outdoors but at the same time enjoys staying indoors to read.
